The National Biodiesel Board announced today at its annual June board meeting in Washington, D.C. that it has created a new home base on Facebook for biodiesel fans. From the biodiesel-curious to the biodiesel advocate, the new National Biodiesel Board Group will serve as another outlet for biodiesel information and discussion.

More than 100 scientists, including two University Deans, have gone on record in the past four months in support of biodiesel by signing the “Scientists for Biodiesel” declaration, putting science squarely on the side of this important alternative fuel.

Because the proposed rule relies on dubious land use assumptions and inaccurate data, the EPA’s proposed rule restricts feedstock for low-carbon diesel replacement fuel to only animal fats and restaurant grease.
